Pushed Away

Has anyone ever pushed you away from them physically or verbally while you were trying to help them?  It happened to the Lord, Paul and Barnabas in Antioch of Pisidia (Turkey).  Great crowds came together to hear the gospel and when the Jews saw this, they began to contradict Paul and blaspheme (slander).  “Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly and said, ‘It was necessary that the word of God be spoken to you first; since you repudiate it and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we are turning to the Gentiles.  For so the Lord has commanded us’ ” (Acts 13:46-47).

The Jews repudiated the gospel, thrust it away, cast it away, pushed it away, in so doing.  By doing so, they judged themselves unworthy of eternal life.  People still do that today.  They thrust Christ and the gospel away, thus rejecting eternal life.  Dear friend, we pray that you will listen, investigate and try to understand God’s message of love, grace and mercy.  Please do not push God away.

The Search For Flight 370

At the time of writing, this commercial plane, a Boeing 777 with nearly 300 passengers and crew have been missing for 17 days.  Several nations have been involved in the search.  US TV news shows have discussed this matter nonstop with a plethora of experts since the plane disappeared.

Wouldn’t it be great if the whole world searched for the truth in God’s word.  So many souls could find the savior if they made such a vigorous search.  Mark 1:35-37 records a quick search for Jesus.  In the early morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went away to a secluded place, and was praying there.  Simon and his companions searched for Him.  They found Him, and said to Him, “Everyone is looking for you.”

Jesus is not hard to find.  Searchers will not be disappointed.  If you are wondering what this world is all about, you need to investigate Jesus.  He wants you to seek Him.
