| We want you to feel comfortable when you visit us. Unfamiliarity can be intimidating. So, let us give you a brief overview.
We are part of the Restoration Movement. We attempt to restore the New Testament church's character, attitude and Biblical principles.
In our building you will find rows of pews for members and visitors. None are reserved. We place a lot of emphasis on our singing and glorifying our Lord in song. The music in our services is "a Cappella" which means we sing without the accompaniment of musical instruments. This was the practice of the New Testament church; since we are doing our best to practice the way that church did, we choose to use their singing format. A variety of prayers at different times will be offered during our services. Our preachers are servants and do not distinguish themselves with a title or ecclesiastical vestments. Our belief is that all believers are equal and are considered priests. When the sermon is concluded (approximately 30 minutes in length), the preacher often will offer an invitation. This is an opportunity for anyone feeling the desire to make a commitment to the Lord, or request prayer for a need, to make it known. Each Sunday morning we observe "the Lord's Supper." This is also commonly called "Communion." During this memorial, plates are passed containing unleavened bread which symbolizes the body of Jesus. After the congregation has been served the bread, trays with small cups of grape juice are distributed. This "fruit of the vine" is symbolic of the blood of Jesus. Afterwards a collection will be taken. This contribution from members allows the congregation to support missionary in-country and out-of-country missionary groups and to provide a comfortable place for people to worship.
Nothing at all. You are invited to participate, but if you feel more comfortable in observing only, that is your choice. We would appreciate your filling out a visitor card, but that is also optional. Our utmost desire is to share the love and grace of our Savior with you.
